September October Newsletter 2008

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you all enjoyed good quality time with your families this summer and had lots of fun doing and exploring new things.

This summer was busy. I was able to squeeze in a photo shoot with a couple of models. Here are a couple of pictures from those shoots.

So get excited, because there are going to be all sorts of great new techniques to try when you come in for your next appointments!

Recipe

Caledon Oatmeal

This is a great recipe from the Eat-Clean Cookbook. This oatmeal recipe is great! Enjoy!

You can alter the ingredients depending on the season. In the winter enjoy dried cranberries and plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg. In the spring add raisins and vanilla. It's a forgiving dish that can be made to suit your taste. I measure out the dry ingredients the night before so all you have to do is add the liquid ingredients in the morning.

Ingredients:

2 cups old-fashion oats

2 cups low-fat milk or soy milk

1/2 tsp best quality vanilla

1/2 cup slivered almonds

1/2 cup dried cranberries or other dried fruit of your choice

1 large grated apple (apple should be firm)

4 Tbsp maple syrup

Cooking spray

1.preheat oven to 400. Coat a 3 quart (large) casserole dish or baking pan with cooking spray.

2. combine all ingredients in a large bowl. If you are preparing this the night before don't add the liquid ingredients such as milk and grated apple until morning.

3. Place mixture in a casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
